The world
of fairyland created by an object mime
"When Mime Meets Game" is an unconventional mime
show for children in which a story is presented
by using everyday objects such as an umbrella,
newspaper, dolls and, of course, the power of
imagination. The objects used in this show, however,
do not appear as they do in our daily life but
become a totally different thing, a wave, a butterfly,
or the star where the little prince lives. What
makes this wonderful transformation and creates
a colorful fairyland is the imaginative movements
of mimists. An omnibus structure
built by umbrellas, balloons and newspapers
"When Mime Meets Game" consists of three episodes
in each of which an umbrella, balloon and newspaper
play a central role although there appear other
"characters" and subjects of all kinds. The fast
changes in dramatic acts and stories help children
concentrate on what is happening on the stage
all the way through.
